Lunch hours & per-city customization

Know when everyone's actually free — not just clocked in. Plus, tune working hours city by city instead of one setting for everyone.

  • Lunch hours in Find Overlap — toggle "Lunch" to highlight each city's lunch break right on the timeline, so you don't book a meeting into someone's break by accident.
  • Drag lunch hours, just like working hours — grab the lunch band or its edges to explore what-if schedules, with a custom color you can pick in Preferences.
  • Per-city custom hours (Pro) — set different working hours and lunch hours for individual cities from the Cities tab, overriding your global defaults for teams that don't keep the same schedule.
  • Simpler status dot — the sleeping-hours setting is gone; the dot now just shows working vs. non-working hours, which is what actually mattered.
  • Overlap window suggestions show local time instead of UTC, so the copy-ready message is easier to read at a glance.
  • Smoother animations throughout, including the lunch band fading in and the "Now" button springing back to live time.
  • Working-hours dragging now works for every city, including ones on the other side of the international date line — a wrap-around edge case that could silently break the drag.
  • Fixed an overlap calculation bug affecting excluded cities and half-hour timezone offsets.
  • The global keyboard shortcut now reliably opens Fuseau.
  • Fixed a layout issue that could clip the "You're Pro" success screen.

Onboarding & polish

First real user feedback landed — search smarter, overlap stays put, and Fuseau now introduces itself on first launch.

  • First-launch onboarding — Fuseau opens itself the first time you launch it, so you don't miss it hiding in your menu bar.
  • Welcome banner — A brief card in the Clocks tab explains where to find the app and how it works. Dismiss it once it clicks.
  • Overlap scrubber improvements — The time cursor now stays where you drag it so you can think before deciding. A new Now button jumps back to live time with a spring animation.
  • Empty states — Both the Clocks and Overlap tabs now show a helpful prompt when no cities have been added yet.
  • Complete localization — All 15 supported languages (German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Swedish, Turkish, Simplified Chinese) are now fully translated with no missing strings.
  • Case-insensitive search — Searching "casa" now finds Casablanca. Previously only an exact-case prefix matched.
  • Two starter cities on first install — New York and London (unpinned, free tier). Previously 5 cities with 3 pinned loaded by default, which exceeded the free tier limit unexpectedly.
  • Local timezone always visible in Overlap tab — Your local row now shows at reduced opacity even before you select a meeting origin, so it's clear it's there.
  • Duplicate entries in Recently Removed — Deleting a city that shared a timezone with a previously deleted one no longer creates a duplicate in the recently removed list.
